Matt Shafer, Northleaf Capital Partners

Matt participates in the origination, evaluation and monitoring of Northleaf’s private equity investments, and leads Northleaf’s New York office. Matt serves on the boards of a number of investments within Northleaf’s portfolio. Prior to joining Northleaf in 2018, Matt was a Partner and served as Head of the Americas business for Vision Capital, a global investment firm, where he led the sourcing, analysis and execution of private equity and structured capital investments. Previously, Matt was a Managing Director at Nomura International (formerly Lehman Brothers) in London. He began his career at CIBC World Markets. Matt has served on several corporate boards for private equity-backed companies across the consumer, industrial and business services sectors. Matt received a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College.
