Jonathan Peiper, Mizuho Americas

Jonathan Peiper is Managing Director and head of the subscription finance business at Mizuho Americas. In this role he is responsible for originating, structuring, arranging, and executing subscription credit facilities and other fund financings for the firm. Mr. Peiper has over 20 years of experience in subscription finance and was previously Managing Director & Group Head in Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation's (SMBC) Subscription Secured Finance Department. He joined SMBC in 1997 as a member of the Public Finance Department where he focused on providing letters of credit, loans, and bond purchases for municipalities, hospitals, not-for-profits, and public and private partnerships. Mr. Peiper holds a BA in International Relations from Tulane University and an MBA in Corporate Finance from the New York University Stern School of Business. Prior to joining Wells Fargo, Mr. Johnston worked at Bank of America for seven years largely in their Global Structured Products group working on securitizations and financings for a variety of different asset classes. Mr. Johnston is a CFA charterholder and received a BA from the University of South Florida in Physics, and is currently the Chairman of the Fund Finance Association, a global industry association for constituents in the fund finance space.
